Its my last day at school! Yay *does happy dance* Although it is five past eight in the morning which, admittedly, is a bit of a bummer as I am still half asleep. Seriously why does my bus get me here so early when lessons don't start until nine? Crazy stuff. However since I was all alone in the common room, I decided to find a computer and update this. The fact that we arn't meant to use the computers for personal use means nothing to me because they can't really punish me anymore.
We are supposed to have dressed up for the last day and I decided to come as a devil, was orginally going to be an angel until I discovered that I have no funds in my bank that will allow it. So I stuck to my usual black and red clothes. I am wearing a black wig though which I find highly amusing, also reminds me why I've never dyed my hair black. However with the black make-up and bright red lipstick it looks in character...not to mention the horns =D I did feel slightly bad when I walked downstairs this morning and my cat ran away from me. I mean he wouldn't let me near him, bless Salem he's a big wuss at heart. Although I was getting some funny looks walking down the street this morning, maybe its just me and not that cat.
However, do have to be all beautified by this evening. It sounds bad but after all this the effort ahead just seems knackering. And being surrounded by a bunch of drunk morons doesn't appeal either. However, if I don't put in an appearance I will never hear the end of it from my friends. I may just take a camera and go picture happy. If you are very lucky I will post photos...actually my evening may as well go towards something, if only that.
But today has actually got me thinking. Its the end of an era (of sorts) for me...how many other ends am I going to go through? An end to my gap year. End of my holidays. End of Uni. Deaths are a sort of end. Friends will get married, that kind of an end of a type of friendship. *Smiles* Slightly morose, I know. But oh well. I'm not really all that good at dealing with ends. I'm bound to end up in tears before the end of today. But i geuss what has to be said is that generally every end starts a new beggining. However, if you find out it doesn't don't blame me!!
Anyway I will cheer up at some point because Matt's coming over to see me all 'prettyfied' as he put it. Bless, its odd to think that if I still know him in 5/7 years I will go and watch him get ready for his ball. I hop[e it happens.
Anyway I must go as a firend has arrived and is demanding attention! :D

Re: "Prettyfied"
Date: 2006-05-27 01:00 pm (UTC)Eh, yeah James is a big lad. After he did it he did carry me off the dance floor and get me some ice. I forgave him after a while but *sigh* I was bummed when Queen came on and I couldn't dance. But I'm a tiny person and James is 6'6 it was all a bit crazy. *Smiles* Yes ice is my friend, in fact I'm going to go get some frozen peas and put them on my foot in a minute.
Andy...*sigh* Andy is a person who is very special to me but...I don't know how to describe it. People say that Andy and I are meant for each other, in the soulmate sense but we've never managed to make it happen. Now its too late because he's going to Uni next year and I accept that but I will always care about him a lot. Last night it was just nice because for a while we grew apart slightly but as soon as I was hurt he came to my side and looked after me. Just reassured me that our bond was still there.
Gosh your school system is very differrent. So its kida like your Elementary is infant and Junior school's mixed together. Middle school is a shorter senior school and High School is a longer college. And then Uni is the same....crazyness!!! And the mind does boggle on where on Earth CATCF fits into that mix.
I'm a dragon too!! If I was going to get a tattoo I would get a dragon. I've always loved the Eastern zodiac and the dragon is very significant to me too.
Sleep was good...but I woke up at half past eleven not too late.
*high fives you for being a fellow dragon*
Date: 2006-05-27 10:11 pm (UTC)Hah, hah, Matt just gets funnier and funnier. Likes to be on a stage but doesn't like his photo taken. Figures. It will make it all the more sweet to finally get that photo however.
I mildly forgive James then. I'll tell you what someone told me, after that first few hours of damage, cold is good to reduce swelling for bruising has a chain effect, once an area is damaged, the bruising can spread through the swelling. Once that is contained, you should switch to heat for the capillaries to open up allowing fresh blood to transport through and remove/repair the damage. So perhaps try soaking your feet in warm water today for a little while. Boil that kettle and watch a film. *smiles*
Interesting little tale about Andy. I hope another one of him drifts into your life, one who will perhaps be more brave about asking you on a date or for some coffe, at least giving you a try. Then again, maybe he will show up years from now and that same energy will be there but now you both will be older. University or college is where one frequently meets their marriage partner though.
Yeah, and Americans don't even have to attend pre-school. It only seems more needed for kids who want to get into elite schools later. Most children would object to being called an infant as soon as they can speak. Many children are obsessed with not being percieved as a child or a baby. I have also seen children who try to get treated as a child for too long. My sister wanted to be pushed around in a stroller forever until my mom finally said, "Your old enough to walk! I'm not pushing you around anymore." I on the other hand was clinging to furniture and "fake walking" until I could do it on my own (I can still remember that). I couldn't wait to get into trouble!
I really appreciate all that info on the British system. SO interesting the slight differences in our culture. I really would enjoy staying in England at some point in my life. I still consider it my destiny since I was "concieved" there on my parents honeymoon.
Re: *high fives you for being a fellow dragon*
Date: 2006-05-27 10:42 pm (UTC)Eek, attempting that link that you explained to me a while back. No idea if its gonna work so fingers crossed. Has to be said I don't look at all like me. EDIT: ok you will have got this twice in your mail box because somehwre along the line I went wrong with the link and am now changing it. *Grins* I am hopeless...SECOND EDIT: ok you will have got this three times. I somehow managed to get the wrong URL (??) and it was mean to me...right take three people!

Yeah being a dragon is great and the information on the zodiac is fascinating. Actually I'm lucky with my family, my dads a monkey, my moms a rat and I'm a drago. Its meant to be one of the best family combinations.
Eh Matt? He's just a crazy kid.
Lol I don't know why but after posting to you earlier this morning I suddenly got the feeing that it would feel better if I put my feet in warm water and watched a movie. So I did *smile* I watched a 'Carry On...' movie and and Elvis Presley Movie...very educational. *laugh*
Ah Andy *sighs* I guess I can't let the blame for the relationship not working lay totally on him. After all we live in a modern society where a girl can ask out a man, I just was never brave enough either. Maybe a sign that it wasn't right. However we've sworn to keep in touch somehow so, ya never know. But it has made me swear that unless I find that sort of bond again (am I being over dramatic?!) that I'm not getting married. I'm not that keen on the idea of marriage anyway.
*Shakes head* Crazy stuff abour school. I think pre-school should be nesseary. Its at that age a person is most open to learning. I remember being desperate at that age to learn anything that I could get my mitts on. I know what you mean about being treated as a child though. Theres a girl across the road who is 10 and she still sucks a dummy. *Grins* I can totally imagine you as a little tot, determind to get into mischief. I was exactly the same way. Fun wasn't it? =D
I do like looking at the differences in culture, and you really should come over to England! You'd love (Well I think) looking around some of the 'olde world villages that we have. The history behind them is wondeful. And all of the little twisting cobbled streets of places like Sailsbury. See when I go to America thats one of the things I miss about England. Everything tends to be so noisey and big...really big, all of the time. I mean I like that most of the time, I'm a city girl at heart, but sometimes I just like wandering around a castle.
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called honah lee,
Date: 2006-05-28 06:30 pm (UTC)I do try to make a habit of reading peopl's minds. Heh, heh, heh. But I AM glad that you relaxed.
Hmm...a lot of mothers that I see do seem to struggle with kids at those pre-school ages, seems they could use a break in their day. Preschool usually is only for a few hours, maybe only one or a few days a week and I think it's optional because the state doesn't pay for preschool. If you want it, then you have to pay for it yourself.
You will decide for yourself as your education goes on wether you are being over-dramatic, things may pan out or not. I do think that upon meeting people, you can get a sense of them quickly though patience can sometimes revreal more about a person than you realized was there.
My sister sucked her thumb for a looong time, first in public, then in private until she was 8. I really got on her case about it and she finally stopped, but...in her sleep...she still made the little sucky motions like she still did suck her thumb! It was so cute/funny to me. Yes, there were times when I got myself into trouble that I couldn't get myself out of, like a cat up a tree! Once I nearly got run over by a truck, once I nearly got my hand eaten by an automatic door at a supermarket, I learned to pick locks and trick 'bubblegum' machines, tilt videogames, I recovered things from the trash all the time, I've nearly died a few times, and stuff like that. My mom earned her gray hair, that's for sure! My mother's day card was actually a little kid saying, "Sorry for driving you crazy all those years mom...I was just doing my job!"
There are parts of San Francisco that are similiar, though I doubt AS charming, England; nooks and cranies sort of speak. New York is HUGE, exactly as you say. I'm sure you will find much of America large in many ways - servings, clothing sizes, cars, buildings, etc. I've gotten used to my half-villiage/half-city that is San Francisco too.
Re: And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called honah lee,
Date: 2006-05-28 10:52 pm (UTC)Lol, supposedly I look very different, see if you can recognize me in this pic...http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g140/Velvetina_Kaiba/LASTDAYOFY13151.jpg. I don't think I look that different. Lol the cookies monster is my friend Rachel. She's a fun chick.
I never sucked my thumb. I was definatly more like you as a child. Great fun. Though I do have various scars that I got in incidents that didn't bother me but almost gave my mom a heart attack.
I cannot wait to see San Francisco, I'm looking foward to sneaking away from my friend (Who will be occupied with men I'm sure...shes the pretty one in the picture above. Well according to a lot of people) and exploring some of those nooks and cranies. Ergh yeah, whenever I've visited America is the size of the food portions thats always gotten to me. I just cannot eat that much. *Grins* I think you'd fit right into England. To be here its almost obligatory to be eccentric...at least a little bit. *laugh*
YOU DO LOOK DIFFERENT!
Date: 2006-05-28 11:38 pm (UTC)I didn't suck my thumb either, I had a nippy for a bit though and my mom says it kept my nice and quiet; that I was perfectly happy when I had it.
Mmn, scars. I like scars.
That's right, you are planning on being in my city at some point. Well, we shall see if I can manage to come out of hiding, we'll see if circumstances even permit. *chuckles* Your friend may get a little bit frustrated, many of the attractive men in this city aren't quite looking for ladies, but you are certainly free to admire. Be a tad careful with casual, attractive men - they are used to getting it easy since there is a lack of heterosexual men, they can be horrible womanizers. Stil, a fling (provided it is a safe one) can be fun. San Francisco has SO many fun neighborhoods, I'd recommend Japan Town definately, be careful in the Haight, and enjoy the tourist sites.
*grin*
Date: 2006-05-28 11:52 pm (UTC)*blinks* Whats a 'nippy'?
lol, scars can be very interesting.
Yes I am. Really? You'd consider coming out of hiding?? *Feels priviledged* Wow, thank you. *Smirks* Oh, it would be highly worth seeing my friend getting frustrated by that. She has this unfortunate habit of thinking she's irrisistable tht is very irritating. Meh. fligs aren't my thing so I'll just sit back and keep an eye on my friend. Thank you for the tip's, I appreciate them and will be certain to make note of them for when I go.
You do have a Mono Lisa look about you, I'll admit.
Date: 2006-05-29 12:31 am (UTC)Enjoy the show with your friend, I've known a few flirts in my day too.
You should make a list of things you want to do too! Let me know what they stick on your agenda, itinerary, my family from NY visited and the schedule was so strict that I was only able to spend hours with them!! They're tour and everything was paid for, so we couldn't tag along, it was a bummer, but I was STILL happy to see them and talk. We ate at an over-priced themed restaurant. I hate those things, but they like them. I prefer more humble/quiet places with exotic and/or traditional fair. SF is RICH with places to eat of EVERY nation and quality, some of our higher end restuarants are REALLY worth it! Then again, you can also eat well on a budget - Japanese grocery stores are a terrific place to pick up a reasonable Asian lunch for example; I do that from time to time.
*laugh*
Date: 2006-05-29 12:55 am (UTC)Ah yes, the show is always interesting. Generally also means she abandons me for a whiel and I get some P&Q
I think my itinerary gives me at least a half day to myself...if not a full day. Will have to check on that. Personally resturants like that aren't my style either, like you I prefer somewhere that just peacefully gives you good food without any hype. *Grins* 'On budget' my kind of phrase!
