And cool for meeting a political leader...uh, relatively speaking. I'm not surprised that that one would listen - the party line is fairly left-wing, so they're open to that sort of thing. (Listen to me; you'd think I actually had a clue about what I was talking about! **lol**) But hopefully, they'll try to do something. Over here, we legalized gay marriage. The Conservatives are bitching about it now, but none of them wants to take a stand and look like the arse about it... Government by indecision. Gotta love it.

I hear you about RL friends. I think that happens with everyone at some point, but yes, it can be draining to be around that sort of thing all the time. Maybe that's what they need is a big slap upside the head with the brick of reality. Or, if they're that self-absorbed, they would probably be offended that you saw them that way. People are weird like that. It's why I want to start my isolationist lima bean colony. Make enough money to pay for internet, and eat the lima beans, and never have to deal with people again. **lol** I should send you the brochure... ;)
