I can totally see where you're coming from. The directors tend not to get as much appreciation as the actors do from what I've seen for our school plays. And from my own personal experience as being a techie on running crew, actors give no respect to us. They treat us like dirt. Actors can be very pompous sometimes. I'm extremely more appreciative to the tech crew than I ever was before.
Do feel better (and try to get some sleep!!!). As long as you know that you did a good job and feel that you truly accomplished something, then be proud! You deserve to be! If I thought it was hard being an actor or tech, I know it's so much more tougher being the director! Props to you. :D
