I figured it was about time I actually gave an update into my life. **Grin** I do actually have valid reasons for not being around as much as I would like.

Yes I am still writing. However, I grossly underestimated how long it would take me to write three plays in time to be toured in May. I'm not so bothered by the homophobia play, which is actually finished now and I am pretty darn pleased with the finished deal. The tack that was decided with this play was to turn our wourld on its head. So this other world is 'Gay' world where everyone is presumed to be Lesbian or Gay and they have to come out as heterosexual. We thought that this could be a fairly useful way to get kids to relate with the main characters, who of course will be heterosexual. They may then actually understand what its like to be in that position, may not work but it's worth a shot.

I've included a quick exclusive glimpse of the play but 'shh', I'm not meant to lol. Oh and so you know when JANET had the name Chloe next to it in brackets that means its older Janet speaking and looking back where as the other Janet is young Janet.

Scene Eight: Sex-ed

Lib Teacher: Okay, guy’s today is your sexual education day.

Janet(Gemma P): Wey hay!

Lib Teacher: Yes, yes. I’m sure it’s very exciting for you all, finally to know what sex is all about.

Student Three (Boy): We already do Sir!

Lib Teacher: I’m sure I didn’t need to know that. Anyway, today is learning about safe sex and what this means to each of you. Obviously boys have to be far more careful about certain things…

Janet (Gemma P): Oh Sir, yuck.

Lib Teacher: And of course you all need to know about STI’s. When it gets into the actual methods and things (cough) you of course will be split up according to gender.

Student Two (Girl): Sir, maybe John should come with us girls. He needs to know about us after all.

Student Three (Boy): Oh god that’s sick.

Lib Teacher: (Ignores) so the day is going to be split up into sessions where we learn about different things in each one. Firstly we’re going to go into room 4A to look at all of the types of protection that you’ll need, and yes samples will be given.

Janet(Gemma P): Come on girls he mentioned freebies!

Janet (Chloe): Sex ed, now that was a joke of a day. Believe me we learned absolutely nothing that day. We all just got freaked out by the various hideous things that could possibly happen to us that we hadn’t really heard about before. And possibly already had because we were already acting like rabbits. And of course it was even more useless for me than most… well everyone apart from John. Hetero sex wasn’t mentioned seriously at all, not once. Of course there were questions asked…

Student One (Girl): Oi Sir, when hetero’s do it what exactly is it that they do?

Janet (Chloe): Those who asked were generally just brushed over and told that if they asked again they’d be in detention. A pity in a way, I would have kind of liked to know what I was getting into. All in all it was just one big mess. I mean seriously putting a group of hormonal teens in one room and talking about sex? Never a good idea.

Lib Teacher: Okay, that’s it for this class. You are now going to move to room 5C where you are going to have a talk on STI’s.

My other play that I'm stressing about is my play for my Arts Award Gold. With it I'm looking at the theme of needing to be true to yourself to be happy. It's a fairly dark piece and is killing me trying to get the first draft ready in time. **Head Bang** Why did I take on such a large project?

This is fairly cool news. Yesterday I and my group was on the news for meeting the leader of one of our main political parties, the Lib Dems. We performed a piece for him showing our views on Youth Crime in Britain Today and then afterwards he spoke to each of us about our views. Though I strayed away for quite a while and ranted about how Homophobia is a big untackled issue in the UK, and surprisingly he actually seemed to listen to what I had to say and even asked me questions on it. Probably won't actually do anything but I tried and if it does do some good, well go me!

As many of you know my health isn't exactly fabulous. And it's slowly going downhill again at the minute but I'm not going it let it stop me. I've given up on the Doctors actually doing any good and am refusing to see them again. If they ca't cure me I refuse to have lots of drugs being pumped into my system or any more of my blood taken. End of story.

I'm sure we've all had those times where your closest friends are driving you nuts. Well with my RL friends that's so true at the minute. Please guys I know you're fabulous but get over yourself!! **Cough** Okay, thats not really fair and I'm sure if something went seriously wrong they'd be there. Still, I can only stand being around self consumed ego's for so long before I have this over-whelming urge to cut them down to size. Or run away and spend time online or reading a good book.

That's all from me for today. Nothing very interesting, but very time consuming. >.< **Sigh** I want my lie-ins back.
